Oluwasola Daniels is working on a Ph.D. in History with a minor in African American Studies at the University of California Davis. She has a Masters in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos. Before starting her Ph.D. program at UC Davis, she taught in the Department of History and International Studies at Adekunle Ajasin University for almost a decade. Oluwasola is a historian of modern West Africa with a focus on the twentieth century. Her research interests include African gender history, history of medicine, sex, sexuality, shame, nudity, and intellectual history. Oluwasola is the Outreach Chair of the African Studies Association’s Emerging Scholar Network.
