The African Studies Association is a US-based 501(c)3 organization which aims to cultivate a better understanding of the continent through the production and dissemination of historical and contemporary knowledge about Africa. Throughout the last ten years, the ASA has had the privilege to collaborate with numerous partners to host collaborative meetings and events outside the US. These meetings have created unique and engaging interdisciplinary spaces essential to the inclusive and equitable development of the field. We are proud to continue these Collaborative Satellite Meetings, in addition to our US-based or online Annual Meetings, to help build more inclusive spaces of knowledge production and foster global communities of diverse constituents.
