The journal, History of Humanities (Vol 9, Issue 2, Dec 2024), has published a special theme issue, “Classics in the History of the African Humanities.” This volume brings together essays on various African classical texts, including those by prominent scholars of African literature. The publisher, the University of Chicago Press, has been kind to grant token open access to this volume.
As you can see in the URL itself, this link will direct you to the table of contents page of the Theme Issue. Once on that page, you can then navigate to the individual Theme contributions. The free access will remain active as long as a reader’s browser is open—if you close the browser and reopen it, you will need to click the special link again to reinstate the access. The token access for the Theme section will expire on March 1, 2025.
