The ASA Professionalization and Career Training (PACT) Workshop is co-sponsored by the ASA Emerging Scholars Network (ESN) and is an immersive, one-day workshop held prior to the ASA Annual Meeting. This year’s workshop is designed to equip emerging scholars — graduate students and early career professionals — with the skills needed to effectively share their research through podcasting and social media.
What You’ll Gain:
- Expert Insights: Engage with our roundtable of seasoned scholars who have successfully used podcasting to engage both specialist and general audiences. Learn to present your research in an accessible and compelling way.
- Hands-On Training: Gain practical experience with professional podcasting equipment, ensuring you leave with the skills to create high-quality content.
- Transferable Skills: These techniques can be adapted for other social and communication platforms, enhancing your overall digital presence.
- Immediate Output: Practice interviewing and recording with professional equipment which will then be edited and published on the ASA podcast, ASAPOD!
Who Should Attend? This workshop is ideal for emerging scholars who are eager to enhance their research communication skills and explore podcasting.
