ASA 2026 CFP Info Session and Q&A

ASA invites you to an info session and Q&A on the 2026 ASA Annual Meeting CFP. This event is perfect for new attendees as well as longtime members who want to learn more about ASA’s newer session types. Join us Thursday, February 12, 1:00 PM EST via Zoom for the live event.

Recent ASA session format additions:

Studios
Learn, develop, or share practical skills or specialized knowledge such as journal publishing, syllabus development, or grant writing basic in our Studio sessions! Studios consist of a chair and no more than five presenters, but they may all be thought of as facilitators depending on the topic and approach.

Working Groups
Working Groups are an opportunity for deeper feedback with a focus on improving the quality of research or preparing for publication. Working groups consist of a chair, no more than five papers, and up to three optional readers. They are double sessions and take place during Session I & II.

Spark Presentations
3-Minute Thesis presentations prioritize submissions by undergraduate and MA students, although the submission type is open to all. Spark presentations are spoken word and 1-2 props (e.g., costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.
