2026-2027 ESN Mentorship Program: Navigating the Job Market
The ESN Mentorship Program supports graduate students entering the job market in 2026 and early 2027. Emerging scholars are paired one on one with established scholars for guidance on navigating CV/application development, interviews, and other job search topics.
Commitment:
- The mentorship program takes place August 2026 – February 2027
- Monthly virtual meetings with your mentor
- Optional participation in the 2026 PACT Workshop in New Orleans. Acceptance to the PACT workshop is automatic for mentees, but participation is optional.
- In-person meeting with your mentor at the ASA Annual Meeting
Application:
Emerging scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences entering the US academic job market in 2026 or early 2027 are welcome to apply. Attendance at the 2026 ASA Annual Meeting in New Orleans is required to participate in the mentorship program. Please apply to via the form by May 1, 2026. Emerging scholars are defined by ASA as current students or within 5 years of completing their terminal degree are welcome to apply.
