It is with deep sorrow that we learned of the loss of our colleague, Professor Pius Adesanmi, who was among the victims of the Ethiopian Airlines flight when it crashed shortly after take-off on its way from Addis Ababa to Nairobi on Sunday, March 10. Professor of English and Director of the Institute of African Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, Professor Adesanmi was an acclaimed writer and literary critic who will be mourned by all who knew him.
