Join a Virtual Mock Conference for Emerging Scholars Presenting at the ASA Annual Meeting!
Are you preparing to present at the ASA Annual Meeting in Chicago? Need a chance to practice your presentation, manage your pacing, or ensure you stay within the time limit? Participate in one of our virtual mock presentation sessions on Zoom and receive constructive peer feedback!
Session Options:
- Session 1: Tuesday, December 3, 2:00 – 3:30 pm EST
- Session 2: Friday, December 6, 12:00 – 1:30 pm EST
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be an ASA member identifying as an emerging scholar (defined as graduate students and early-career professionals within five years of receiving their terminal degree).
- Presenting in-person at the ASA Annual Meeting in Chicago (December 12 – December 14, 2024).
- Able to submit your paper to emergingscholars@africanstudies.org at least 48 hours before your selected session.
- Willing to provide feedback to fellow participants.
