Jennifer Hart is a professor of African History and chair of the History Department at VirginiaTech. The author of Ghana on the Go and Making an African City, both published through Indiana University Press, Hart regularly utilizes public history and digital humanities to engage broader audiences and foster collaborations with communities in the US and Africa. She is a fellow at the African Center for the Study of the United States at the University of Witwatersrand, a senior scholar in the AAC&U’s Office of Curricular and Pedagogical Innovation, co-convenor of the African Urban Dynamics Collaborative Research Group (AEGIS), and the North American President of the International Society for the Scholarship on Teaching and Learning in History.
