International Conference on ‘Decolonising Minority Rights Discourse,’ set to take place on May 9-10, 2025, at Sapientia University in Cluj/Kolozsvár, Romania. Jointly organized by the Tom Lantos Institute, Birmingham Law School, Sapientia University, and the Romanian Institute for Research on National Minorities, this event promises to be a pioneering platform for interdisciplinary scholarship in decolonial and minority rights studies.
We’re excited to welcome our distinguished keynote speaker, Professor Antony Anghie, alongside influential partner organizations, creating a rich environment for critical dialogue and fresh perspectives. The conference will feature presentations across thematic areas such as redefining minority classifications, decolonizing statehood, the impact of global governance, and economic dimensions of oppression.
