With the approval of the Office of Research Compliance at Marquette University Research Compliance // Marquette University, I am conducting a research study focused on the lived experiences of Black immigrant women from Tanzania who work in U.S. academia.
As a Black immigrant woman myself, I recognize that stories about the lived experiences of Black immigrant women have the potential to offer valuable insights into addressing issues specific to this population in academia. Your participation will amplify the voices of immigrant women in academia and facilitate an understanding of the lived experiences of Black immigrant women, which is crucial in creating programs and interventions that effectively meet the needs of specific social groups, such as Black immigrant women from Tanzania.
The study will involve one (1) questionnaire and two (2) rounds of interviews. Interviews will be conducted virtually and will last approximately 45-60 minutes. Study participants who complete all elements of the study will be provided with $30 gift certificates.
All results will remain entirely confidential and secure.
To participate, you must:
*Be a Black immigrant woman from Tanzania who is 18 or older
*Have completed primary and secondary education in Tanzania
*Be currently working in a college or university in the United States
