Call for Chapter Proposals – Navigating Diaspora: Migrant Perspectives on Race, Ethnicity, Transnationalism, Family, and Identity

We are excited to invite you to consider submitting a chapter proposal for an interdisciplinary edited book titled “Navigating Diaspora: Migrant Perspectives on Race, Ethnicity, Transnationalism, and Identity.” This book will provide a platform for migrant scholars and researchers to share their experiences and critical insights on the complex intersections of race, ethnicity, transnationalism, and identity. We seek contributions from a diverse range of scholars with expertise in various disciplines, including but not limited to Sociology, Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, Gender Studies, History, Literature, and the Political Sciences.

We are particularly interested in contributions that explore the experiences of migrants from various diasporic communities, including but not limited to African diaspora, Asian diaspora, Latinx diaspora, Caribbean diaspora

If you are interested in contributing to this project, please email ukodero@collegeofidaho.edu and shaniserah@gmail.com with a brief outline of your proposed chapter, including the following:

· Title of the chapter

· Abstract (approximately 250 words)

· Key themes and arguments

· Methodological approach

We will review all proposals and provide feedback within a month. Once the book is constituted, we will request draft chapters from selected contributors. We anticipate a two-year timeline for the completion of the book.

We believe that this book will significantly contribute to understanding race, ethnicity, transnationalism, and identity in the context of migration. We are committed to creating a high-quality and inclusive publication that reflects the diversity of migrant experiences.

Thank you for considering this invitation. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Dr. Ubba Kodero & Serah Shani
