The Department of English and the Program in Africana Studies at William & Mary invite applications for a one-year, non-tenure-track, jointly appointed visiting faculty position that will begin August 10, 2019. We seek an individual with expertise in African/African diaspora literatures, and a preferred sub-specialization in media studies and/or critical race studies. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester, including a first-year writing seminar, an upper-level course on modern African American literature, an upper-level course on literature of the African diaspora, and additional courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.
