Soka University of America (SUA) seeks a part-time/adjunct instructor to teach one or two courses during the fall 2019 term or 2019-2020 academic year. At least one course should be lower-division, multidisciplinary survey of a major world region. Potential geographic areas include Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and North Africa, South Asia, or Southeast Asia. Additionally, applicants may propose a second course that is (1) sufficiently different, and (2) teaches their discipline or field of training in an international context. Applicants with Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered.
