The ASA Women’s Caucus Book Prize Committee solicits submissions of humanities books by women about African women published in the past three years, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Edited books are eligible for submission.
The final submission date is June 30, 2013. The winner will be notified on September 10, 2013, and included in the program for the African Studies Association Conference in November 2013.
Named in honor of Ama Ata Aidoo, the celebrated Ghanaian writer, and Margaret Snyder, founder of UNIFEM, this prize seeks to acknowledge the excellence of contemporary scholarship being produced by women about African women.
