My name is Miriam Jerotich Kilimo. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Africana Studies at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. I received my PhD in Anthropology from Emory University. My research and teaching interests center on the themes of feminist politics, law, and governance in contemporary Africa. I am currently working on a book project that draws on my dissertation research on gender quotas in Kenya. My research and writing have been published in the journals Africa, Anthropology and Humanism and Reproductive Health Matters, as well as media and literary outlets that include The Guardian, Africa Is a Country and Brittle Paper.
