Oghenetoja Okoh is an Assistant Professor in the History Department at Loyola University, Maryland (USA). Her current research focuses on the development of minority identities in the oil-rich region of the Niger Delta, Nigeria. This research will be captured in an upcoming book, entitled Minority Identities in Nigeria: Contesting and Claiming Citizenship in the Twentieth Century, which is currently under contract with Cambridge University Press. Her areas of expertise include the history of colonialism and decolonization, gender and minority politics, and 20th century cultural flows between Africa and the African diaspora.
