Asmao Diallo holds a Ph.D. in Global Society Studies from Doshisha University (Kyoto) Japan. She majored in agriculture within the field of gender and development. Her research focuses on gender and development policies, land tenure reforms, and deals. Her work revolves around agricultural cooperatives’ roles in facilitating small-scale women’s resource access and control, informal labor conditions among farmers in rural areas, sustainable development, climate change adaptation, and improving rural livelihoods using science, technology, and innovation. Asmao served as a gender equality and women and empowerment specialist at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO ITPO Tokyo. She currently works as a researcher and teaching assistant at Doshisha University, Graduate School of Global Studies.
