The ASA Coordinate and Affiliate Organization Micro Grant are designed to support events or projects organized by ASA Coordinate and Affiliate Organizations during the calendar year. Four grants will be awarded in 2026: $750 each for two Coordinate Organizations and $500 each for two Affiliate Organizations.

All ASA Coordinate and Affiliate organizations are welcome to apply.

Applications must be received by March 31. Grant applications will be reviewed by the ASA Board of Directors at their Spring Board Meeting and decisions will be announced in May.
About ASA Coordinate and Affiliate Organizations
Coordinate and Affiliate organizations of the ASA are organizations that have a scholarly or professional interest in the continent of Africa, and often focus on a specific country, region, or discipline. Most organizations present sponsored panels or roundtables, and hold meetings or receptions for their members and interested individuals at the ASA Annual Meeting each year. Participation in these organizations allows ASA members to network with other members who hold similar research interests, and to promote academic and field work in specific regions and fields of study.
