While on-site at the Annual Meeting, make sure to follow the ASA on Twitter (@ASANewsOnline) for daily reminders about activities and highlights of the conference. Share your experiences, encounters, and excitement at the conference on Twitter with our conference hashtag, #ASA2017.

The ASA has again partnered with Matrix, the Center for Digital Humanities and Social Sciences at Michigan State University, to bring podcasts to the Annual Meeting. This year, emerging scholars will have the opportunity to interview Annual Meeting attendees for episodes in our Annual Meeting podcast series. Watch @ASANewsOnline on Twitter for announcements about drop-in hours, and swing by our podcast room to talk about your latest research, findings, and trends in African Studies. If you are interested in listening to episodes from last year’s series, you can find them all here.

If you are not able to attend this year’s conference in Chicago, you can still experience the conference by watching the keynote events and lectures on our livestream – which we will share via Twitter. You can check the online preliminary program for information about when the keynote lectures will be held. If you miss the livestream, not to worry! All videos will be added to the ASA’s YouTube channel after the Annual Meeting.
